Welcome to Michigan Film Corps

Michigan Film Corps (MFC) is a new non-profit organization based in Kalamazoo, Michigan and Los Angeles. We are dedicated to connecting Michigan students with industry professionals through feature film production. We provide incredible on-set experience and valuable screen credit to Michigan’s next generation of filmmakers.

Who We Are:
We are Michigan students, industry professionals and independent producers all working toward a common goal through feature film production.

What We're Doing:
Michigan Film Corps believes that the only way to learn the art and business of filmmaking is by doing it. MFC produces feature films with industry professionals and Michigan students working side-by-side. This is a fantastic opportunity for Michigan students to increase your on-set confidence, further build your professional resume and contacts, and gain better insight into the entire filmmaking process.

An Awesome Opportunity:
Michigan Film Corps provides students a chance to learn a wide variety of positions in pre-production, production, post-production and marketing. Guided by film industry professionals every step of the way, students work high-level crew positions usually reserved for those “with more experience.” A fantastic way to jumpstart your filmmaking career. For many students in the program, this is their first feature film credit.

Why We're Different:
Unlike other film training programs or workshops, we focus on educating Michigan students by actually producing feature films in conjunction with industry professionals. MFC provides students with an active, hands-on, comprehensive feature film practicum. There is no cost to the student to be a part of this program or tuition of any kind. Requirements include passing the application/interview process.
